My Auntie Laureen goes to the hospital tomorrow to get prepped for major surgery. She has cancer, and chemotherapy and radiation didn't work. It's strongly hinted that if this doesn't work either, she has no other options, not to mention that the surgery carries risk in itself. If anyone who read this felt like sending prayers/good thoughts/health vibes/whatever her way, I'd very much appreciate it. She's one of the kindest people I have ever known, and she makes amazing cheesy potatoes and chocolate chip cookies, and being hugged by her is like being in some kind of sea of calm and love. There's no one who hugs exactly like her, and there's no one who is exactly like her, and a world without her would just suck that much harder.
